Document Search Mode

Often when searching documents, you may not be interested in latest revision. Rather you might only want to search published revisions; in other circumstances you may want your search to include archived revisions. The document search mode option allows you to specify how you want to search documents and their revisions.

The following search modes are available:

  1. Latest
Searches are made against the latest revision of a document, regardless if it is published, archived etc.
  2. Latest (Non Archived)
Searches are made against the latest non-archived revision in a document. i.e. if a document has its latest revision(s) archived, then the search will apply to the next non-archived revision. This is the default search mode.
  3. Latest Published
Searches will prioritise the latest published revision of a document. If there are no published revisions, then the search will apply to the latest non-archived revision.
  4. Published
Searches will apply to the most recent published revision of a document. Therefore, only published revisions will be shown.
  5. Archived
Searches the most recent archived revision of each document. Therefore, only archived revisions will be shown.
